News on Music Station + KeyHole TV problems + Indulgence

Things related to Kusanagi Tsuyoshi + naked tirade + park + arrest aside (the poor fella),  News was on Music Station today...along with Gackt, Yuzu, Tamaki Hiroshi and some other artists. The wait to see a kick-ass discoesque performance of "Koi no ABO" was trashed by pixelish and choppy streaming and I'm hoping for other alternatives to KeyHole TV.
Things weren't all that bad. I did get to see Yamapi's really weird hairstyle, a silly ribbon on Kei-chan's head and Tamaki Hiroshi's surprised expression when he saw the number of News fans in the studio.  Everything went downhill from there. Anyway, I'm sure somebody is going to post the video online soon.  Tomorrow, News will be on Hi! Hey!Say! and Heyx3...and later in May would be on Shokura. There is a lot of promotion for this single as compared to "Happy Birthday" and I think fans are quite happy with the amount of screentime. We havent seen them together for ages and I still think they need aweekly show or the like. Arashi has 3 shows, Kat-tun with"Cartoon Kat-tun"......I think the rest of Johnny's have their own variety shows except News. Why?
Anyway, I know I'm over indulging myself and not doing any research, but I wont hide the fact that I like Johnny's entertainers and that they make me h.a.p.p.y. Haha.

Koi no ABO

I've known this for a while but only now I have the chance to post. The first time I heard News' new single "Koi no ABO" was in the 15-sec version of their new Russ-K CM. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. But I got crazy after watching the preview of the pv on youtube. Therefore, I got crazier watching this:

I loved the disco feel of the whole PV and I think that the budget for the video is better than previous vids. KoyaShige just cracked me up in the vid and I hope that NEWS will keep this up...this fun I-Dont-Care-If-I-Look-Idiotic element :)
Koi no ABO is due to be released on 29th April 2009.

One Bridge at a Time

For the past few months, I've been telling myself that I should approach things in a linear way and deal with conflicts and problems that come my way one at a time, a systematic option. However, having developedsomewhat non-systematic way of thinking the past 23 years of my life, that technique is hard to apply. However, having to deal with a proposal and later a thesis, a change of outlook would be best. This doesn't mean that I should be 100% systematic, like some individuals that I've come to know and love. But to have a balance of my cluttered and non-linear traits and balance it with a system that would help me approach my thesis efficiently.  So..I'll deal with it one bridge at a time, but I won't just be walking, but jumping, running and skipping to the next bridge that comes my way.

P.S --- Happy Birthday Ayah!

Lost

Name: Tuah
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Age: 2 years old
Gender: Male
Neutered/Spayed: No
Vaccinated: Yes
Dewormed: Not sure
Lost in Desa Pinggiran Putra

Dear friends, on Sunday Tuah didn't come home like he used to for his meals. Now, its been five days since he has gone missing. My family and I've searched high and low for any signs of his whereabouts. As you can see from his picture, Tuah doesn't like anything to do with soap let alone a bath. He's a lone ranger and loves to wander-about the neighbourhood. Tuah possesses an extremely gentle nature and is one of the most people-friendly cats I know. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please don't hesitate to contact me. My family and I miss him very much.

Arashi's New Release: Believe

Arashi's coming out with a new single already? According to matsubunny on Arashi_On, the group will be releasing a new single in conjunction with Yatterman, starring Sakurai Sho. Personally, I believe Arashi to be one of the hardest working groups in the Japanese entertainment business. Additionally, they have just released their single "Beautiful Days" (tied to the drama Ryusei no Kizuna), a single that's been selling extremely well just earlier last month. Most of their singles are tied with an event or drama and the like.

2008 Single tie-ins:
"Truth" for the drama "Maou".
"Kaze no Mukou", the NTV's theme song for the Olympics
"One Love", the theme for Hana Yori Dango Final

I've only had the privilege to listen to the song for around 20s, courtesy of matsubunny who kindly posted a link for the preview on the website. Its a fast and catchy song. I'm just wondering when the release date is and how the PV's going to be like. Judging from the rhythm of it, I'm sure the choreography for the song will be great as well. Will be updating as soon as more details are revealed.

Weekend Summary + Monday

Last weekend was a long one. On Saturday, the family celebrated my older sister's birthday with a cake with a Superman design and I thought that it was hilarious considering my sister is 24. My dad asked me what type of cake I wanted for my birthday, which was on the 7th but I declined fearing a cake overdose. But Saturday was overshadowed by that landslide tragedy in Bukit Antarabangsa. My condolences to all the families. I used to go up there pretty often in the late 90's for art lessons and my mum used to work for a clinic there too.

Sunday was great. I celebrated by going out to the movies with my cousins (8), my cousin's boyfriend's little brother (1) and my younger sisters (2). But the 12 of us didn't actually watch the same movie. 6 went to watch Quarantine and 6 went to watch.....Bolt. Guess which movie I watched. Yea...correct. The movie about the dog. It was ok...not that great and the plotline was pretty predictable...and I tried to block out the fact that Miley Cyrus (wrong spelling?) was one of the voice actors. Also, I would like to thank everyone that wished me a Happy Birthday, thank you so much ^__^.

Yesterday (Monday) was Aidiladha. All of us went to my grandparents' home in Keramat in the pouring rain (which lasted till late evening) and it turned out that my extended family bought cupcakes to celebrate the December kids which included my sister, cousin Emran and I. It was a small affair but everybody had a great time. Lets hope for more family gatherings in 2009.

Arashi on FNS too + Music Station Super Live 2008

I just found out that Arashi was on FNS too. I've made some screencaps of them singing "One Love" which by the way at #2 on the 2008 Oricon Top 150 CD Singles. #1 was also Arashi with their single "Truth".

Another thing is that TVLIFE has posted the lineup for this year's Music Station Super Live. Some of the acts I'm looking forward to seeing are Arashi, News, Aiko, Laruku, Orange Range, Kobukuro and Ikimonogakari. The rest of the lineup can be found on the website.

News on FNS

News was on FNS last night. How could I have missed this?! and Massu's hair is short? I've never thought that he'd have a drastic change of hairstyle but I guess this may have been caused by his new drama called "Rescue: Tokubetsu Koudo Kyuujotai" coming up this winter. He looks younger... and News' outfit reminds me of what Arashi wore on their Truth PV because of the black and red scheme (also..we can see about 20% of Hey! Say! Jump). At the moment, this picture is all I have of their appearance but I'll be sure to keep a look out for the HQ file in a few days.

Anyway, Zed and I are destined to be in IIUM again, this time for our Masters programme. After the failure of securing a sponsor...we decided to go local. So tomorrow we'll be there for the registration and then we'll go out for some food at KLCC. I heard Kinokuniya is having some mighty lovely discount binge. Will be checking that one out as well.
